Tax season is here, and about 70% of Americans will receive a refund for overpayments in 2022. Smart Asset ranked the places that will receive the highest tax refunds in Pennsylvania separated by county, and counties in the Philadelphia area dominated the top 10. Local residents tend to classify the 'five-county area' as the city of Philadelphia (which is its own county) and the suburban counties Delaware, Montgomery, Chester, and Bucks to make up the greater Philadelphia area. Chester County topped the list.
