Governor-elect Josh Shapiro has announced key individuals and leadership groups for his transition into office, including several prominent business, education and nonprofit leaders from the Pittsburgh region. Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor-elect Austin Davis announced a Transition Leadership Board and a Transition Personnel Committee. Among those chosen were Giant Eagle CEO Laura Karat and Carnegie Mellon University president Farnam Jahanian, among others from the Pittsburgh region. The Transition Leadership Board will be chaired by William Sasso, the chairman emeritus of Philadelphia-based law firm Stradley Ronon.
